 About Raja Hireker

I can't say that the incredible amount of money I see being wasted each and every day through inept and incompetent advertising and marketing communications... will soon be a thing of the past; it won't - so long as there are marketing professionals applying their lack of brains in doing what they do. That's not being mean or hurtful; it's the truth. Just look at most marketing, most advertising, most written communications... they stink!  

Even though equipped with formal marketing qualifications (a post grad in marketing some 10 years ago) I found the real wealth in my marketing education was to immerse myself in the marketing champions of old. I studied the old masters like no other marketing people I knew, would. Hopkins, Ogilvy, Collier, Kennedy, Schwartz, Caples... they were the founding fathers of real, direct response communications. I studied their works like I was taking an MBA on the subject. In fact, most Marketing MBA's would be clueless in knowing what it takes to sell and persuade through the written or printed word. 

I've sat in on 'marketing meetings' where most of the talk was about creating a nice warm fuzzy feeling about the product, about creating brand identity and more talk about image building. Questions I raised, were about... 'is this the best effort that can be put out in order to get this advertising to sell'... or ... 'what do we want this communication to do from the customer's perspective'... but somehow, it's questions like these which get ignored.

Why so?

It's because... there's no accountability to results. There's no process to boosting a client's long term value. There's no disciplined retention strategy being created.  What there IS much of going on, is careless, reckless, ill-thought out 'creative' playing around, indiscriminate tomfoolery... and yes, all of it being with... client money.

I abhor that kind of stupid waste... that kind of ignorant disrespect of the marketing and copywriting function... that regurgitated foolishness... those deadly dull, insanely inspid, dramatically boring attempts at connecting and communicating.   

I've strategised product launches, created direct mail promotions, written specialist websites, autoresponder sequences, reports, campaigns, video scripts, speeches, retention strategies - all packed with that special blend of deep marketing insight and knowledge, coupled together with super, direct response communications. 

Frankly, the above is a better, scientific, well proven process to getting superior results. And I've done that for a number of clients in different industries - automotive, restaurant, building & home renovation, forex, business services, cleaning, salons, dentist, estate agents, coaching, printing...             

It's interesting when you read what others have to say about you!

On the one hand, it's flattering. (It's always nicer when someone else blows your trumpet for you!)
